I don’t recommend it. Luckily, I was foolish enough to manage this in my parent’s driveway so I just fetched the tractor, cleared the snow in front of the car and pulled it free myself.

Did you back it into the snow bank behind it? I fail to see how you managed to get a WRX stuck in that.

It’s a little hard to see in the picture but I got the car bogged down and beached on 10" or so of dense snowbank. The road I drove in from is behind the car. I probably got 30-40' in before I ran out of ground clearance, grip and momentum, in that order. All four wheels were spinning, none had any solid footing.
I actually made it through the full ~100' of that snowbank in the morning when I got to work (I work on my parents’ farm) as it was fluffy and freshly blown in. The sun really hardened it up through the day.

Ahh, trying to go over the snow bank. For a second I thought you somehow managed to get a WRX stuck in 1" of snow on level ground.

I got harassed by someone for bitching about how bad my stepdads Subaru svx was in deep snow let’s say 6” or more. Snow Tires and all wheel drive are worthless when you are high centered.

Yup, awd snow tires are great until said tires run out of solid footing.
I find it pretty amusing that I’ve now managed to get this car stuck twice, both times attempting to go through snow that I shouldn’t have, while I never once got my lowered Golf stuck in the 2 years I owned it.

I have almost managed to get it stuck in ~1" of snow on level ground before. That was on the day I drove it home from the dealership on its stock 240tw summer tires. Those tires were swapped for the winters on the car now the next day.
